The Katie Brown Educational Program is dedicated to the recognition and prevention of relationship violence by teaching the skills and information needed to make healthy decisions in relationships. KBEP has developed innovative and interactive curricula, taught primarily to youth in classroom-based settings throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Job Description:
KBEP is seeking to hire a full-time, year round Educator. The Educator will be responsible for high-quality delivery of the program curricula to elementary, middle and high school students, with some programming for adults and youth in other non-traditional settings.
This position also entails supporting the overall functioning of the organization, with participation in violence prevention awareness events, fundraising events, data collection, curriculum development, and other organizational projects.
The position will begin in January 2018 with a salary of $28,000‒$32,000.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates must have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of one year experience working directly with youth in schools or other group settings, particularly youth of diverse populations. Candidates must have reliable daily transportation, and must pass a standard CORI check.
We are looking for someone with a passion for violence prevention and community development. We have a small staff, so we’re looking for someone who can be a friendly, supportive, and flexible team member. Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
